The Imperial College Alumni Association Japan (ICAAJ) serves as the Japanese chapter of the larger Alumni Association of Imperial College London.
Established as a not-for-profit organization in 1981, ICAAJ has grown over the years and currently boasts around 400 registered members, who are actively engaged in various professions and reside in different regions across Japan.
Our Objectives
To foster friendship, connections and unity among members while simultaneously bolstering communication and collaboration between alumni and the College. The initiative aims to facilitate the transmission of valuable knowledge and experience, all while providing support to local students who aspire to broaden their horizons and expand their educational opportunities.
The President
My name is Toru SATO, President of the Imperial College Alumni Association Japan.
In 2019 I was appointed as President at the AGM with the objective to make the South Kensington Kai (SKK) more attractive and enjoyable. So we decided to enrich the leading ICAAJ event, the Annual General Meeting, by including also lectures, and a party. The event, usually held in autumn, is an amazing opportunity for networking with ICAAJ members and people who are going to study or conduct research at Imperial College.
In early summer, in line with the Alumni Weekend of ICL, we have the ICAAJ Summer Event to address current affairs, stimulates your intellectual curiosity, and deepens our fellowship.
Please join us we all welcome you. The events will be announced through our newsletters.
